What You'll Do
As a Title Examiner, you will review title records, analyze chains of title, and prepare accurate title products that support the real estate closing process.
Key responsibilities include:
Reviewing and interpreting chains of title and property records
Examining ownership histories and identifying title issues, restrictions, liens, encumbrances, and other matters affecting title
Verifying property, ownership, and tax information for completeness and accuracy
Reviewing legal descriptions, maps, plats, and supporting documentation
Preparing and issuing preliminary title reports
Confirming appropriate title search parameters and starter bases
Ensuring all relevant information is captured and accurately reflected in title products
Supporting title search operations and workflow as needed
Maintaining accuracy and production standards while meeting deadlines
Collaborating with team members and internal stakeholders to support exceptional customer service
Required Qualifications
Minimum of
2 years of title industry experience
Experience examining title records, ownership histories, and chains of title
Strong understanding of title insurance practices and title examination principles
Knowledge of legal descriptions, real property records, and real estate documentation
Ability to analyze and interpret title information accurately and efficiently
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience preparing preliminary title reports
Knowledge of Florida real estate and title practices
Experience with title plants and property information databases
Familiarity with mapped-property searches and direct starter-based examinations
